Universal Class provides quality online courses for patrons interested in taking online courses on topics of personal and professional interest. Courses are led by Real Instructors with Continual Feedback as in an online university setting. Patrons who complete courses can receive free Certificates of Achievement and many classes provide Continuing Education Units that meet IACET standards.
• Patron access to over 500 continuing education courses, designed to be used remotely from anywhere a user has an internet connection.
• Important course topics available including: career training, GED training, and office skills.
• Many courses within the service offer video tutorials to compliment the written lessons.
• Continuing Education Units available for all courses with certificates of achievement available after completing a course with a minimum score of 70% or higher.
• Unlimited access for all library patrons to all of the courses available (maximum courses a user can take at one time is 5)
• All courses are instructor led, allowing the user to communicate with a real person throughout their time taking the course. Courses are self‐paced, allowing the user to sign in and complete tests and assignments on their own schedule. Users have 6 months to successfully complete a course. |
